Job Title: Swim Instructors and Lifeguards

Company: Wildlife Water School

Location: Greensburg YMCA and East Allegheny

About Us:  
Wildlife Water School is dedicated to teaching children, both with and without disabilities, the essential skill of swimming in a supportive and engaging environment. Our mission is to foster a love for water safety and swimming while ensuring that each child feels included and empowered.

Position Overview:  
We are looking for passionate Swim Instructors and Lifeguards who are committed to providing high-quality swim instruction and ensuring the safety of our young swimmers. This position requires flexibility, a love for working with children, and the ability to adapt to various situations, including last-minute schedule changes.

Key Responsibilities:  
- Provide swim instruction to children in a safe, fun, and inclusive environment.  
- Ensure the safety of all participants by monitoring pool activities and enforcing safety rules.  
- Travel to the Greensburg YMCA and East Allegheny locations for scheduled classes.  (Possibly moving back to Wilmerding Community Center)  
- Participate in paid online training sessions.  
- Establish positive relationships with children and their families, fostering a supportive atmosphere.  

Requirements:  
- Must be able to pass a background check, fingerprinting, and child clearances.  
- Flexibility to accommodate changes in schedule and travel between locations from 12:15 PM to 2:30 PM and 3:45 PM to 6:30 PM.  
- Must be at least 15 years old and willing to commit to long-term, year-round employment.  
- Love for working with kids and comfort in engaging with children with disabilities.  
- Prior experience as a swimmer is preferred, as well as current lifeguard certification.  

Compensation:  
- Paid for a total of 5 hours and 45 minutes, with 45 minutes of paid travel time and a 30-minute unpaid break.  
-$12 per day vehicle mileage reimbursement
